Benefits including Medical/Dental/Vision plus many more Competitive Pay Generous Paid Time Off 11 Paid Holidays 401K with Company Match Tuition Reimbursement Employee Discount Programs Bonus and Merit opportunities What You Will Get To Do: Transport full and empty trailers between designated docks, and parking spaces Assist warehouse personnel with tasks between trailer switches which may include: build pallets for shipments, pallet wrapping, pre-load scanning, loading and unloading freight and labeling Inspects truck and trailer equipment such as tires, lights, brakes, dollies, and deck for defects prior to spotting in load bays Inspect cargo to ensure it is properly loaded or secured Operate equipment, such as truck cab computers, CB radios, phones, or global positioning systems (GPS) equipment to exchange necessary information with warehouses, supervisors, or other drivers Maintain organization of the trailer yard to ensure the efficient and safe transport of trailers Maintain cleanliness and safety of work area Follow safety procedures for vehicle operation, including the user and operation of trailer jacks, landing gear, and wheel chocks Review documents or materials for compliance with relevant policies or DOT regulations (such as a Bill of Lading, Bill of Materials, Shipping Manifest) and storing them in a proper manner during transport What You Will Bring : 1 year of commercial tractor-trailer driving or switcher experience High School diploma or GED Basic skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook Valid Michigan Drivers license, clean driving record, DOT Medical Card, or ability to obtain a DOT-required medical certification, CDL Ability to efficiently work in a high paced environment Ability to work with other team members on the warehouse and production floor Ability to communicate cross-functionally throughout the organization; Good verbal and written communication

Requirements

  • 1 year of commercial tractor-trailer driving or switcher experience
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook
  • Valid Michigan Drivers license, clean driving record, DOT Medical Card, or ability to obtain a DOT-required medical certification, CDL
  • Ability to efficiently work in a high paced environment
  • Ability to work with other team members on the warehouse and production floor
  • Ability to communicate cross-functionally throughout the organization
  • Good verbal and written communication
