We are currently seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to join our team of leaders in our Syracuse, New York distribution center. Requirements

  • Experience in a similar management position
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Experience with inventory management, cycle counting, logistics, forklift operation, and warehouse management
  • Key Performance Indicator (KPI) oriented, well organized
  • Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team that covers the areas of shipping/receiving and picking/packing/put-away
  • Responsible for training, coaching, planning and assigning daily work, ensuring safety rules and other policies/procedures are adhered to, conducting performance appraisals, addressing performance issues, and resolving problems
  • Meet warehouse operational standards by contributing information to strategic plans and reviews, implementing productivity, quality, and customer-service standards, resolving problems and identifying warehouse system improvements
  • Maintain warehouse by keeping floor space organized, adhere to warehouse design principles, and recommend improvement opportunities
  • Keep equipment operating by enforcing operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, handling preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs
  • Stay up to date with job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
  • Promote and uphold Richelieu's set of Core Values
  • Perform any other related duties assigned by immediate supervisor
  • Position may require lifting/pushing/carrying items up to 50 pounds, working around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals
