About The Position

Sunset Distributing is seeking an energetic leader to join our Warehouse team. The Warehouse Supervisor will provide supervisory support to the Warehouse Managers, with an emphasis on overseeing warehouse team members engaged in receiving, restocking, rotating, picking, load verification, and loading activities. This position is key to setting up the warehouse for success.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • 3-5 years of warehouse experience preferred
  • 1 year of management experience preferred
  • General computer knowledge, experience with software including VIP, iDig, Formstack, and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of logistics and warehouse operations preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience in executing warehouse procedures and policies.
  • Understanding of safety standards and protocols within warehouse operations.
  • Knowledge of quality control standards and their application in warehouse settings.
  • Strong managerial and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members and other departments.
  • Ability to supervise and direct warehouse teams.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Warehouse Managers with warehouse operations, including receiving, repacking, replenishment, picking, verification, and loading activities.
  • Implement company programs and policies to ensure effective storage, inventory management, and quality control for all products.
  • Ensure the accurate completion and verification of all truck loads.
  • Oversee truck readiness for timely departure.
  • Assist with inventory reconciliation.
  • Enforce warehouse procedures and policies, including Quality Control Standards for all suppliers.
  • Support in coaching and training of warehouse team members to ensure competence in procedures and standards.
  • Supervise and provide direction to the warehouse team members until the Warehouse Manager assumes responsibility.
  • Check in and/or supervise the check-in of delivery trucks returning from their routes.
  • Assist with diagramming trucks, routing, evaluating out-of-stocks, and adjusting order quantities and loads as necessary.
  • Finalize, confirm, and print pick tickets, organizing them for warehousemen.
  • Maintain a focus on safety, shipping, receiving, and quality standards.
  • Possess strong problem-solving, computer, logistics, and communication skills.
  • Other related supervisory duties as assigned.
