About The Position

Bush Hog, RhinoAg, and Dixie Chopper are among the most recognized and successful brands in the Agricultural and Outdoor Power Equipment industries. Under general supervision, the Warehouse Supervisor leads and oversees all activities relating to inbound receiving, inventory handling and storage, small parts order picking / packing / shipping, and finished product (whole-goods) shipment scheduling and loading. This position is a key driver in ensuring final distribution to customers is safe, accurate, timely, and supports company revenue objectives. Requirements

  • Excellent communication and human relation skills, both verbal and written. Ability to communicate with various levels within the organization.
  • Ability to plan and coordinate multiple activities.
  • Knowledge of warehouse and shipping functions.
  • Computer software, data entry and retrieval, ERP systems experience, and data analysis skills required.
  • Leadership, problem solving, and ability to encourage and persuade others.
  • High school diploma or GED required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years previous warehouse supervisory experience.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines/shipping schedules.
  • Physically capable of standing/working 8+ hour shift(s) and lifting up to 40 lbs.
  • Able to wear required PPE (personal protective equipment).
  • Able to work overtime, including off-shift or weekends. May require minimal travel.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, train, prioritize work, and evaluate performance of a team of hourly warehouse employees and warehouse leads.
  • Determine appropriate staffing levels and schedules to support overall business / customer demand, in addition to seasonal volume and demand timing for small parts business.
  • Develop and maintain adequate cross-training skills matrix to ensure sufficient personnel coverage is in place across key functional areas of receiving / order picking / truck loading / inbound and outbound shipment scheduling.
  • Champion a safety culture within the department, teaching and encouraging warehouse leads to actively participate in safety engagements and additional training.
  • Develop and monitor, as requested and in coordination with the Operations Manager, key performance metrics to evaluate department efficiency and performance.
  • Work cross-functionally with Customer Service, Assembly, and any other related departments to ensure whole-goods shipment configuration is timely, cost effective, and routed appropriately.
  • Responsible for coordination of / “writing up” outbound whole-goods load shipments. Must know this process well enough (resident expert) to execute it on a daily basis, as well as cross-train other employees as backups and/or to delegate if business needs arise.
  • Display a positive attitude that encourages the team and other co-workers towards success and a “can do” culture.
