About The Position

We are currently hiring a Warehouse Supervisor The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for leading all warehouse operations, ensuring efficient, accurate, and safe handling of poultry, meat products, and supplies. This position oversees receiving, inventory management, staging, order preparation, and internal transfers to support both wholesale and retail outbound logistics. The Supervisor plays a key leadership role in maintaining quality, safety, productivity, and employee performance, supporting the company’s growth in both retail and distribution channels.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; coursework or certification in warehousing, logistics, or operations is a plus.
  • Minimum 3 years of warehouse experience in a food distribution, retail fulfillment, or cold storage environment.
  • At least 1–2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
  • Forklift and powered industrial truck certification is preferred.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
  • Familiarity with inventory systems, WMS software, or barcode scanning tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to lead a diverse team.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced, multi-channel environment.
  • Proficient in basic computer applications (email, Excel, reporting tools).

  • Understanding of retail packaging, labeling, and order presentation requirements a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise daily warehouse operations, including receiving, staging, replenishment, retail order picking, and inventory management.
  • Directly manage warehouse associates; assign duties, monitor productivity, and ensure adherence to safety and performance standards.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and support to employees to foster accountability, teamwork, and high morale.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, training, and cross-training employees on both wholesale and retail order fulfillment functions.
  • Conduct regular shift meetings, safety reviews, and communicate retail and wholesale priorities or production changes.
  • Ensure smooth coordination and communication between warehouse, logistics, and retail teams.
  • Ensure accurate and timely movement of products within the facility to support order fulfillment for retail, wholesale, and foodservice customers.
  • Supervise retail picking, packaging, labeling, and staging to meet brand standards for presentation, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Monitor put-away, replenishment, and staging of product to ensure proper rotation (FIFO), lot control, and cold chain integrity.
  • Manage availability of packaging materials, labels, and supplies specific to retail fulfillment.
  • Oversee proper use of warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners), ensuring safety and operational readiness.
  • Support execution of promotional or seasonal retail orders requiring specialized handling or packaging.
  • Enforce company safety protocols and procedures, including PPE, equipment handling, and incident reporting.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in accordance with USDA, HACCP, and food safety standards, including retail packaging and labeling areas.
  • Address any equipment failures, hazards, or operational bottlenecks promptly.
  • Ensure all documentation (receiving logs, temperature checks, and shift reports) is completed accurately and timely.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy through cycle counts, location checks, and reconciliation of discrepancies.
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and identification of all product and packaging materials for both retail and wholesale channels.
  • Escalate any quality issues, temperature excursions, or product damage to appropriate departments.
  • Maintain product traceability and assist in recall, lot tracking, and shrink management processes.
  • Verify accuracy of retail SKUs, labels, and shelf-ready packaging prior to shipment.
  • Maintain clear communication with other departments (Outbound, QA, Transportation, Retail Operations, Maintenance, HR) to resolve issues and coordinate activities.
  • Document shift activity, incidents, labor usage, and productivity in end-of-day reports, including retail order metrics such as fill rate, accuracy, and spoilage.
  • Participate in operations meetings and contribute to continuous improvement and retail expansion initiatives.
