Specific Departmental Requirements Custodian of the inventory verifying inventory request and proper use of materials. Provide leadership within the warehouse department, including establishing broad and specific goals for the warehouse team to accomplish; instructing the warehouse leads and technicians how to coordinate daily routine tasks; training warehouse employees; and daily workplace inspections. Complete month end closing for bulk issues.  Compile monthly materials management department report. Confirm inventory transactions in the general ledger match inventory valuation on month end processes.  Maintain accurate files and records, and maintain, improve, and develop inventory management systems. Maintain warehouse equipment. Provide various departments requested data on warehouse stock issues and order information. Work with the purchasing department to resolve problems with vendors and contractors. Work with financial staff to resolve invoicing, credits, and receiving warehouse operations fiscal issues.  Notify loss control, freight carriers, and vendor supervisors when safety incidents occur within the Warehouse areas of responsibility on the Pogo mine site Responsible for safety programs and overall safety in warehouse work areas. Prepare upgrade criteria for each non-exempt job classification, as well as any needed revisions, for manager's approval. Provide and monitor training opportunities in an objective process; ensure that training opportunities are made available fairly, consistently and in a manner free from discriminatory bias. Review employees' requests/applications for training based on objective evidence related to job performance, abilities, and interest. Document employees' readiness to train for tasks, noting any operational reasons related to the availability and scheduling of requested training. Maintain training records of employees in the department. Monitor training register and logging formal training as it occurs Participate in the review of any appeals filed by employees concerning training opportunities. Other duties as required. Requirements

  • High School graduate or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Warehouse training in business, supply chain management, and logistics.
  • Five to ten years progressively responsible warehousing, inventory control or other relevant experience.
  • Three years supervisory or lead role experience.
  • Current Driver's License.
  • Pass a background check and post offer physical.

  • Computer literacy - Microsoft Office, Pronto.
  • Proficient with data entry and inventory software and systems.

  • Awareness of the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) Act & Regulations.

Responsibilities
