Position Summary: The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations in a manufacturing environment, ensuring accurate material handling, timely production support, inventory control, and adherence to safety and quality standards. This role leads warehouse staff, coordinates closely with production and shipping teams, and ensures materials flow efficiently to support manufacturing schedules. This position will be based in our new facility in Dayton, MN.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred
  • 3–5 years of warehouse or materials experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Previous supervisory or lead experience required
  • Experience with ERP/WMS systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, or similar)
  • Forklift certification required or ability to obtain
  • Strong leadership and team‑building skills
  • Solid understanding of inventory control and material flow in manufacturing
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced, production‑driven environment
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Basic computer skills (Excel, inventory systems)
  • Effective communication and problem‑solving abilities
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Work performed in a warehouse/manufacturing setting with exposure to machinery, noise, and temperature variations
  • May require overtime, weekends, or shift coverage based on production needs

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, picking, staging, and shipping of raw materials, components, and finished goods
  • Ensure materials are available to production lines according to manufacturing schedules
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels through cycle counts and audits
  • Monitor warehouse layout and storage methods to maximize space and efficiency
  • Lead, train, and support warehouse associates and material handlers
  • Assign work, set priorities, and monitor performance against productivity goals
  • Enforce company policies, procedures, and attendance standards
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations
  • Enforce all safety rules, PPE requirements, and OSHA guidelines
  • Conduct safety meetings and participate in incident investigations
  • Ensure proper handling of hazardous materials, where applicable
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment (5S standards)
  • Oversee accurate transactions in ERP, WMS, or inventory management systems
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies
  • Ensure proper documentation for receipts, transfers, and shipments
  • Support audits and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate with Production, Purchasing, Quality, and Shipping teams
  • Communicate material shortages, delays, or issues impacting production
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to warehouse processes
