About The Position

Reporting to the Senior Director of Operations, the Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily warehousing, logistics, and facilities activities that meet the ongoing needs of Richards’s customers. As a key member of our cross-functional operations team, you will primarily focus on coaching, mentoring, and measuring a high-performing and efficient warehouse team. This role requires someone with a solid understanding of warehousing and logistics operations, as well as the ability to lead by example and drive team performance.

Requirements

  • Secondary school diploma required, post-secondary education in a business administration field is preferred.
  • 5-10 years of supervisory experience in warehouse and logistics roles.
  • 2+ years of experience with ERP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); NetSuite experience is a plus.
  • Proven experience in facilities coordination with an understanding of technical building/warehouse requirements.
  • Strong track record in warehousing and logistics management.
  • Excellent multitasking ability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly.
  • Ability to develop high-performing teams and create a collaborative work environment.
  • High attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
  • Creative problem-solving ability, focused on operational efficiency and quality.

Nice To Haves

  • NetSuite experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the shipping and receiving of goods with Richard’s head office.
  • Ensure shipments are handled according to the product and timeline requirements, meeting customer expectations.
  • Resolve discrepancies between bills of landing and material received from carriers.
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of shipping/receiving policies, schedules, and procedures.
  • Perform inventory adjustments and provide back-up support for Transfer Order Costing and approvals.
  • Manage storage, handling, organization, and shipping operations to serve the company’s warehouses and customers effectively.
  • Ensure staffing levels meet all company shipping, receiving, and warehousing obligations.
  • Develop and implement performance metrics, coach staff to meet targets, and track warehouse team performance.
  • Ensure facilities are maintained in accordance with health and safety requirements.
  • Track shipments, resolve customs clearance issues, and manage vendor communications.
  • Participate in product training sessions to stay current on Richards’ technology and products.
  • Effectively use available resources to assist in customer service and support.
