About The Position

The Warehouse Supervisor for Day & Ross Dedicated Logistics will oversee the daily monitoring, scheduling and collaboration of aspects of operations related to all equipment both rental and owned. This includes monthly, yearly inspections, repairs, the applicant will also be responsible for administering the weekly tailgate meetings, online attendance, STEP reporting, and all files on compliance both warehouse and transport related needs. They will directly deal with outside vendor suppliers on maintenance and repairs. Must have the ability to negotiate repair costs and upgrades required.

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal communication skills and be a team player
• Possess a Class 1 license and be willing to pick up/return containers from port or other driving related tasks as assigned by direct report. It is anticipated this component will be 50% of the job.
• Be familiar with all aspects of Health and Safety policies. Be familiar with Transport guidelines and laws.
• Proficiency in Word, excel, and in written reports as they relate to operations and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain scheduling of repairs, inspections and collaborate all files relating to each category.
• Ensures compliance of safety standards and maintenance of all vehicles in good running condition.
• Prepare and keep updated a report of all vehicles (chassis, trailer, forklifts), identifying deadlines for MVI, regular maintenance.
• Implement all compliance requirements both in warehouse and with drivers.
• Assist in recruitment of Brokers/Drivers for local pier work
