We're growing and looking for individuals who want to grow with us. This position will train in our Warren, Ohio facility over the next four to six months and then will transition into their role in our brand new, state of the art Distribution Center in Middlefield, Ohio. Job Purpose: The purpose of this role is to provide hands-on leadership in directing daily operations within assigned departments, ensuring alignment with Growscape's safety, quality, and performance standards. The role supports team development through training, coaching, and process improvement, while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures. This position plays a key role in achieving operational goals by fostering a safe work culture, completing administrative tasks, and driving continuous improvement across key performance indicators.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
2+ years cumulative experience in a Warehouse/Distribution environment
Minimum of 12 months experience in a leadership role
Prior forklift experience required
Strong knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
Must have a strong working knowledge of warehouse operations
Mechanical aptitude
Ability to be shift flexible
Must possess good communication/interpersonal skills and get along well with others
Ability to work in a team-oriented work environment
Strong time management skills
Excellent organization and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
The ability to lift 50 lbs
Stand, bend, stretch, sit and reach continuously throughout the shift
Tolerance for changing warehouse conditions due to weather (extreme heat or cold)

Nice To Haves

Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
3rd party software exposure preferred with payroll/timekeeping and ERP
Experience in RF Scanners & Warehouse Management Computer Software
Prior experience with FedEx & UPS Systems
Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
Limited travel as required

Responsibilities

Individual must be a hands-on leader with strong writing and verbal communication skills
Ability to learn distribution processes as it relates to operations and our company procedures
Must possess process troubleshooting skills to respond to and drive performance/people development
Must be able to lead training effort of new employees
Direct daily shift work of assigned departments
Must be able to accurately complete all administrative paperwork
Achieve business goals in areas like safety, quality, delivery, and cost
Must be able to lead and create a safe work culture. Emphasis on lockout-tag out and forklift training needs
Assist with performance reviews, plus other supervisory activities
Support all company policies and Procedures including 5S and focused work teams
Execute coaching and corrective discipline
Ensure compliance of direct reports to all Growscape policies and procedures
Prioritize activities of team leaders and support departments
Monitor, maintain and improve key performance indicators daily
Lead by example and perform all job duties in accordance with Growscape's values
Perform other administrative tasks and special projects as assigned
