Daily operations of the warehouse, including freight, shipping and receiving, returns, and transfers. Labor requirement planning and adherence to budgeted guidelines. Review and enforcement of sanitation practices. Securing the facility at the completion of shifts. Responsible for hiring, training, supervising, and mentoring department team members. Schedule: Sunday - Thursday 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM (until finished) Weekend required based on business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with a focus on business administration, operations management, supply chain, logistics, engineering, food science, or a related field preferred: With degree - A minimum of 2 years of experience is required. This experience can be a combination of: 2 years of frontline operations experience in a warehouse or distribution environment OR equivalent experience gained through a relevant rotational development program required. 1 year of supervisory or lead role experience, OR equivalent leadership experience gained through a rotational development program or other relevant training/experience that cultivates these skills. Without a degree- High school diploma or GED required. A minimum of 4 years of progressive experience is required. This experience must include: 3 years of frontline operations experience in a warehouse or distribution environment required. 1 year of supervisory or lead role experience, or equivalent training/experience required that cultivates these skills.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • Requires the ability to safely operate a forklift and other heavy warehouse equipment
  • Computer skills required
  • Demonstrated front-line leadership, planning, and organization skills.
  • Requires strong oral, written, and communication skills
  • Must be able to handle many diversified tasks at one time and correctly prioritize conflicting, time-sensitive tasks.
  • Effective coaching, facilitation, presentation, team building, and team-based approach decision-making skills.

  • SAP Experience Preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supervises the daily work and safety of team members engaged in order selection, receiving, product replenishment, order loading, including all warehouse functions, selectors, loaders, and MHE operators.
  • Secures the facility at the completion of the shift.
  • Develop and execute standard operating procedures, including full utilization of a warehouse management system.
  • Ensure team has necessary equipment and required documentation to complete shift responsibilities.
  • Fosters, supports and maintains a Safety and Quality driven work environment for all team members.
  • Reflects a willingness and commitment to support a "Stop Work" philosophy for all safety and quality concerns.
  • Enforces and adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices/Personal Hygiene requirement and supports pest prevention best practices.
  • Generate distribution/service center productivity reports regarding labor standards, and accounts for all labor hours, adhering to budget requirements and works toward obtaining Dawn objectives and divisional goals.
  • Customer billing Review warehouse functions and various warehouse productivity reporting.
  • Uses metrics/data to evaluate and improve receiving, storing, and distributing processes.
  • Suggests efficiency ideas, cost reduction measures and assists with implementation of changes within warehouse.
  • Monitors receiving, storing, and distributing metrics to ensure they are consistent with Dawn performance standards.
  • Plans, develops, and implements warehouse safety, quality and security programs and activities in partnership with site leader, regional safety and corporate quality team.
  • Complies with local, state and federal regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA, AIB, FDA, USDA, etc.)
  • Fosters an inclusive culture in a manner that embraces the ideas and contributions of each team member.
  • Prioritizes team member relations through regular pre-shift meetings and ensures consistent, open communication with team members.
  • Consistently reviews the team performance and creates development plans for team member improvement.
