About The Position

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day warehouse operations within the hospital’s Supply Chain Management department. This role ensures accurate and timely receipt, storage, distribution, and replenishment of medical supplies in support of patient care, clinical operations, and hospital-wide service excellence. This role provides direct supervision to Storeroom staff, promotes a culture of safety and accountability, supports Inventory Control processes, and ensures operational continuity in support of patient care. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of inventory control, warehouse or logistics experience, preferably in a Hospital or healthcare environment, is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Prior supervisory or lead experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates working knowledge of hospital supply workflows, including receiving, storage, replenishment, and distribution of medical supplies in support of patient care.
  • Effectively directs day-to-day work of storeroom staff through clear expectations, scheduling, coaching, and accountability.
  • Escalates issues, risks, or trends to the Inventory Control & Warehouse Manager as appropriate.
  • Maintains high levels of inventory accuracy through cycle counts, discrepancy resolution, expiration management, and adherence to inventory control standards.
  • Organizes and prioritizes daily warehouse activities to ensure timely fulfillment of clinical and operational supply needs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Utilizes materials management systems to track inventory transactions, monitor performance, and support data-driven decision making.
  • Identifies operational issues such as stockouts, delivery delays, or workflow breakdowns and implements practical, timely solutions.
  • Builds effective working relationships with nursing units, clinical leaders, purchasing, and inventory control to resolve supply concerns and improve service levels.
