About The Position

The Warehouse Supervisor (Second Shift) is responsible for overseeing evening warehouse operations while ensuring a seamless transition from first shift activities. This role partners closely with the First Shift Warehouse Supervisor to maintain continuity in receiving, loading, and unloading of appliances and furniture. The position provides hands-on leadership, coaching, and direction to warehouse team members while upholding high standards for safety, organization, productivity, and customer service.

Responsibilities

Partner with the First Shift Warehouse Supervisor to ensure a seamless transition of daily operations, including clear communication of priorities, workload, and outstanding tasks
Complete and/or support order picking and staging to ensure all customer orders are accurate, on time, and free of damage
Maintain strong attention to detail in product handling, inventory organization, and order accuracy
Adhere to all safety policies and procedures; model safe behaviors and ensure all team members consistently follow safety guidelines and proper use of equipment
Reinforce a safety-first culture by monitoring compliance and addressing concerns in real time
Ensure safe operation of company vehicles and adherence to all traffic laws and driving practices when applicable
Oversee the proper use, maintenance, and cleanliness of warehouse equipment and company vehicles
Support and oversee customer pickup processes, ensuring a positive and efficient customer experience
Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and reset for next-day (first shift) operations
Communicate end-of-shift status, completed work, and any outstanding issues to the First Shift Supervisor to ensure continuity and accountability
Participate in and support cross-functional projects and operational initiatives as needed
Foster a team-oriented environment and promote collaboration across shifts and departments
