About The Position

Join our PPG Industrial Paint Team as a Warehouse Supervisor in Springdale, PA. You will be an important asset in our operations team. Reporting directly to the Logistics Manager, you'll oversee our local warehouse operations and work on-site in an industrial paint warehouse, ensuring the safe and efficient handling of products. Leading a team of ten or more warehouse staff, including office and operations staff, you'll receive material, coordinate deliveries, manage chemical inventory, and implement process improvements, for the Industrial Paint programs supported by PPG Springdale. With your expertise in logistics, warehousing, and supply chain management, you'll contribute to our mission of delivering excellence in the Industrial Paint industry. Requirements

  • High School Diploma is required; a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Logistics or related field is preferred
  • 3+ years of inventory or warehouse experience is required
  • 2+ years of people management experience is preferred
  • Knowledge of DOT, IATA, and IMDG Federal regulations required
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office required, experience with Oracle, Excel, Word, Power Point preferred
  • Familiarity with operation of power equipment preferred

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for associate understands and follow all company policies regarding safety, health, and the environment.
  • Ensure accurate training programs are in place to meet all applicable standards, including total compliance with all DOT Regulations.
  • Coach and monitor team on all job functions, giving feedback on performance of productivity goals.
  • Coordinate logistics and delivery of products and supplies to warehouse and customers, including internal customers
  • Ensure familiarity with SDS sheets and proper storage of hazardous containers
  • Update KPIs and provide important feedback to leadership
  • Handle special projects such as equipment adjustments, recruitment, lean savings, and process improvements
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies in warehouse operations
  • Implement and enforce best practices for inventory management and control
  • Train and develop warehouse staff to enhance their skills and efficiency
  • Collaborate with teams to improve supply chain processes and resolve issues
  • Lead associates, encouraging a continuous improvement of individual performance, and that we meet or exceed all service, quality and cost control requirements
  • Facilitate regular team meetings to improve the communications with the team.
  • Ensure that the team meets or exceeds all training requirements for Federal, State and PPG regulatory law, policies and procedures and any EH&S annual training
  • Ensure that daily/weekly time reporting requirements are met. Review and approve in Kronos system.
  • Support Employee Engagement, and 5S processes and continued improvements.
  • Lead all aspects of PPG's outbound functions, including loading, picking, and replenishments
  • Other Projects assigned by the Logistics Manager.
