About The Position

LMA Shipping and Receiving Inventory Control KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: (The finer details of what the role is assigned for the day-to-day activities on the job. Tasks to support results.) Leads and oversees the shipping, receiving, storage and movement of all finished product and raw materials in accordance to company policies and procedures Responsible for incoming and outgoing shipments, verifying shipment documents, determining shipping priorities, assigning daily duties to maximize efficiencies in daily operations. Oversees and ensures the timely shipment of all finished product or other materials, and the accurate completion of all required documentation. Ensures that trucks are scheduled to the best efficiency, keeping in mind ship-to locations when coordinating the preparation of the daily shipping schedule. Manage the daily operation needs for shipping/receiving and daily production usage of raw materials. Assist in shipping activities when needed. Collaborate with Customer Service and Production Services to ensure logistics are scheduled timely and with the most cost effective shipping method within each customer’s shipping requirements. Ensure product is packaged/palletized correctly to ensure no damages will incur during the shipment process, ensure all outgoing shipments are properly labeled and that correlating documents are included with each shipment Measuring and reporting the effectiveness of warehousing activities Maintain SOP procedures while working to continuously improve shipping, receiving, and inventory control measures Provide a safe and efficient working environment, ensuring the warehouse and equipment is cleaned and maintained at all times Inventory Management Target total Inventory Turnover at 5-6 times per year. Continuous review of raw materials and proactive management to mitigate the amount of slow moving raw materials (> 12 months no movement) on hand. Target less than 10% of on hand as slow moving inventory. Provide monthly reporting to Accounting in regards to slow moving raw materials in order to ensure a proper inventory reserve. Collaborate with Customer Service and Production Services to ensure that Seaway has the right finished good products on hand at the right time to service the customer 100% of the time. Raw Material & FG Inventory – Responsible for coordinating and conducting Quarterly cycle counts and one physical inventory annually. Ensure that the physical inventory matches inventory quantities in IQMS. Requirements
