About The Position

The Warehouse Supervisor oversees warehouse staff and daily operations, ensuring productivity, safety, and inventory accuracy. This role is responsible for staff development, process improvement, and resolving customer or operational issues.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred
  • 3+ years of warehouse or logistics experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role
  • Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and transportation management systems (TMS); strong understanding of workplace safety regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices for inventory control

Responsibilities

  • Supervise warehouse staff, assign daily work schedules, and monitor performance to ensure productivity goals are met
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and support employee development
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and safety-focused work environment
  • Provide the Operations Manager/Warehouse Manager with feedback on associate performance, and participate in review discussions between the manager and associates
  • Direct and oversee all aspects of daily warehouse activities, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping
  • Troubleshoot workflow challenges and adjust staffing or processes to maintain efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and customer service expectations
  • Manage the receiving, storage, and distribution of products to maintain inventory accuracy and availability
  • Conduct cycle counts and audits, investigating and reconciling discrepancies
  • Monitor client specific stock levels to prevent shortages, delays, or overages
  • Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular workplace inspections
  • Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability among staff
  • Accurately enter and maintain data in Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and Customer Portals
  • Generate reports to track productivity, order accuracy, and other key performance metrics
  • Support onboarding and training of new associates, ensuring proper instruction on equipment, safety, and company procedures
  • Provide ongoing coaching to improve skills, efficiency, and adherence to best practices
  • Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency, reduce costs, and streamline processes
  • Implement and monitor process changes to achieve measurable improvements
  • Resolve order-related issues quickly and effectively to maintain high customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with customer service, transportation, and sales teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
