At our Meriden, CT site, you’ll be part of the BioProduction Group within the Filtration and Separation Division. Our teams provide specialized filtration solutions across bioprocessing, industrial manufacturing, and commercial water applications, supporting customers whose work directly impacts public health and well-being. Discover Impactful Work: As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will oversee daily warehouse operations supporting manufacturing and customer fulfillment. This role combines hands-on supervision with analytical problem-solving and process improvement. You will be responsible for inventory accuracy, material flow, and operational execution while partnering closely with production, planning, procurement, and shipping teams. Using Lean principles and Thermo Fisher’s Practical Process Improvement (PPI) system, you will support continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements applicable to our products and operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3+ years of experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or industrial operations environment
  • 1+ years of experience in a lead, coordinator, or supervisory role
  • Experience managing inventory accuracy, including cycle counting programs and discrepancy resolution
  • Experience working with lot-controlled inventory and order fulfillment processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookup formulas, and data filtering
  • Experience preparing or analyzing operational reports related to inventory, productivity, shortages, or variances
  • Experience implementing process improvements or continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, standard work)
  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work on the warehouse floor for extended periods
  • Ability to work in ambient and temperature-controlled environments
  • Ability to communicate effectively with hourly employees, supervisors, and cross-functional partners
  • Ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to manage multiple operational priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of workplace safety and compliance requirements in an industrial or warehouse environment
  • Knowledge of hazardous materials handling and shipping regulations applicable to manufacturing or laboratory materials

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, business, engineering, or a related field preferred
  • Forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate warehouse staff, including scheduling, training, and daily work assignments
  • Oversee receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping activities to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counting, audits, and reconciliation of discrepancies
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and standard operating procedures
  • Implement and sustain warehouse best practices to support safe, efficient, and compliant operations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners, including production, planning, procurement, and shipping, to support operational needs
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement process improvements to improve efficiency, inventory flow, and space utilization
  • Prepare, analyze, and maintain operational reports related to inventory levels, productivity, and count variances
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, order shortages, overbuilds, and aged finished goods
  • Support warehouse layout improvements, location organization, and material flow optimization initiatives
