About The Position

Overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, storage, and distribution of goods. This role provides hands-on leadership to warehouse staff while ensuring warehouse operations are conducted efficiently, safely, and in accordance with organizational policies and procedures. Ensuring that supplies and goods are managed with integrity, accountability, and operational efficiency. In alignment with the organization’s mission, this position promotes a supportive work environment by offering encouragement, mentorship, and spiritual guidance to staff, volunteers, and program participants while maintaining effective and organized warehouse operations.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of three (3) years of demonstrated leadership experience in a warehouse environment as a supervisor, manager, or director.
  • Forklift Certification required (or ability to obtain certification).
  • Food handling certification required (or ability to obtain certification)
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics practices.
  • Familiarity with handling donated goods, bulk food items, and supply distribution.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and inventory tracking systems.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple operational priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and team leadership abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively with staff, volunteers, and program participants from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor the receiving, inspection, and documentation of incoming deliveries.
  • Ensure accurate inventory control and tracking is done by warehouse staff
  • Maintain organized and safe warehouse storage areas, ensuring proper product rotation and space utilization.
  • Coordinate the distribution and delivery of products to internal departments as needed.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate warehouse staff to maintain high productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Operate and supervise the safe use of warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and material handling equipment.
  • Maintain warehouse documentation including receiving logs, inventory records, and shipping documentation.
  • Collaborate with purchasing and program teams to ensure accurate ordering, tracking, and allocation of supplies and donations.
  • Support the management and distribution of bulk goods and donated items.
  • Assist with process improvements to increase efficiency, organization, and cost effectiveness in warehouse operations.
  • Lead and participate in devotions within the workplace.
  • Promote an environment of compassion, accountability and servant leadership
