About The Position

The Warehouse Supervisor will support and oversee shipping/receiving, material handling, and inventory operations at our 825 Morgantown Road facility. This individual will review and analyze MRP results daily and assist in executing shipping orders, receiving activities, and cycle counts based on those findings. The role is responsible for leading and supervising these functional areas while driving process improvements and strengthening cross-departmental communication as needed. Employee may perform other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of the organization

Requirements

  • EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree or educational equivalent and 2 years of material, warehousing, and/or inventory control experience including supervisory experience, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Working knowledge of an ERP system with understanding of the MRP process is required.
  • CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, OTHER: Tow Motor, First Aid, CPR, Fire Extinguisher Training.
  • LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the public. Ability to communicate in an effective and professional manner to others.
  • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: HIGH, Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • REASONING ABILITY: HIGH, Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in a situation where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram, or schedule form.
  • OTHER: Ability to Multi task and prioritize. Ability to manage multiple suppliers as needed and make decisions that are in the best interest of Brentwood. Possess a strong and honest work ethic.

Responsibilities

  • Review MRP (material resource planning) for order requirements daily.
  • Assist and oversee with daily, monthly, & yearly inventories as necessary, and/or as required, to support the business.
  • Provide or participate in training as needed (Supplier training, MRO training, etc), and maintain good working relationships to develop a strong business partnership.
  • Assist in reducing costs, inventory, and improving patterns when possible.
  • Review shift activities and performance and evaluate labor resources required to achieve production schedules.
  • Ensure operation of the equipment by reporting processing issues and initiating maintenance/tooling/IT work requests as needed.
  • Coordinate and lead shift/team meetings to review safety, quality and performance concerns, general facility announcements and job assignments/rotations with all appropriate personnel, including shipping/receiving, material handlers, and inventory.
  • Review time and attendance and employee job transactions. Correct transaction errors and provide accurate time sheets to Human Resources weekly.
  • Maintain production workflow by monitoring processes, equipment, and personnel. Perform multiple observations on the plant floor to observe and check for safety issues, quality issues, documentation/records, and any other areas for improvement.
  • Cross train and offer support for other individuals as needed.
  • Act as emergency coordinator when E&S Specialist or Plant Manager are not on site.
  • Communicate, administer, and ensure compliance to Company policies, procedures and safety/environmental regulations.
  • Perform all work procedures according to established Quality Management & Environmental Management Systems.
