Job DescriptionRole SummaryCustomer service skills Supervise all receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.Coordinate and enforce all program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.Supervise all other warehouse associates and drivers.Lead and mentor warehouse staff by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees with SCL or Ops Manager.Complete warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees and following up on work results.Implement and maintain lean initiatives and culture.Maintain physical condition of equipment, issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.Assist other warehouse/driver associates with preparing orders for shipment as necessary.Package and ship Summit products as necessary.Receive products on daily basis to replenish inventory.Make sure inventory is stocked appropriately at all times.Understand product capabilities, warranties, usages and challenges to further educate and serve customers.Ensure warehouse and respective outside areas are neat and clean at all times. Qualifications Essential Qualifications and ExperiencePreferred experience with SAP/WLINK Forklift experience (sit down forklifts & reach trucks) Inventory management/control 3 years warehouse and/or driver experiencePrevious leadership experienceAbility to build relationships with and supervise othersStrong customer service orientationTime management – strong ability to organize and manage multiple prioritiesFlexibility – ability to effectively adapt to changeBasic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft OfficeValid driver's license and an excellent driving record Beneficial Skills and ExperiencePrevious supervisory experience within a warehouseAbility to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidanceDesire to complete EPEC series and other Summit trainings Physical ChallengesAbility to lift 50+ pounds on a regular basisAbility to operate standard warehouse equipmentAbility to operate commercial vehiclesAbility to climb stairsPre-employment assessments, drug, and background screens are administered.Professional appearance required.Additional InformationNot sure yet if this is the right position for you?
