About The Position
The Warehouse Supervisor at Benco Dental is a pivotal role within our Pittston, PA Distribution Center, responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations to ensure efficiency and compliance. This position plays a crucial part in driving our mission to Drive Dentistry Forward by managing various aspects of warehouse functionality. The Warehouse Supervisor will monitor receiving volumes, manage the Dock to Stock process, and oversee replenishments to maintain optimal inventory levels. Additionally, the role involves troubleshooting and facilitating orders and receipts throughout the distribution center, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and effectively. In this role, the Warehouse Supervisor will perform HAZMAT Manifest reviews and review special order processes, including Work Orders, Opening Orders, and Institutions. Collaboration with other distribution centers and Benco departments is essential to resolve issues and maintain consistent operations. The supervisor will also be responsible for creating and maintaining required reports used by the warehouse and operations team, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and up-to-date. Coaching and training associates is a key responsibility, which includes documentation, constructive and progressive discipline practices, and conducting performance reviews. The Warehouse Supervisor will assist with the implementation and maintenance of the associate incentive program, moving associates as needed to accommodate workflow and ensure maximum order fulfillment. It is critical that all orders received by 5:00 PM ship on the same business day, barring any system or backorder issues. The role also involves assisting with the implementation and follow-up of any Quality, LEAN, or Continuous Improvement process improvements, ensuring compliance with Safety, OSHA, DOL, and HAZMAT regulations. The Warehouse Supervisor will work closely with distribution center management to achieve all operational goals by proactively offering ideas and suggestions for improvements. Maintaining a Training Matrix and documentation to ensure that Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are outlined and followed is also a vital part of this position.
