About the Job. Why This Job is Important. The Warehouse Supervisor is a leadership position that supports the Warehouse Manager and supervises a hard-working team of warehouse operators who make wipes for our customers. This important position oversees the operations on the warehouse operations to ensure it runs seamlessly every day so that our customers' shelves stay full - and so their customers can buy the wipes they need for their baby, teenager, significant other or parent (or even their pet!) when they need to. It's a big deal. Our best Warehouse Supervisors are masters of juggling many things at once and have knowledge of manufacturing and warehouse management basics like quality (cGMP) standards, waste reduction, continuous improvement, warehouse management, shipping, receiving, inventory management and productivity and operational efficiencies. We also prefer that each supervisor has experience in leading and supervising others. We expect our supervisors to be professional, results-oriented, highly engaged in the business, and be able to engage within their teams.

Requirements

  • High school education and demonstrated leadership experience OR a bachelor's degree in management (or another closely related field).
  • 3-5 years' experience leading/supervising work teams in a distribution/warehousing environment.
  • Ability to follow directions, work independently, and determine when to do which.
  • Ability to read and understand basic math principles, solve problems, and be resourceful on a computer, including Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of safety standards.
  • Experience with continuous improvement practices.
  • Familiarity with forklift operation.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the daily activities of all associates to maintain Shipping and Receiving load schedule adherence.
  • Supervise a team of warehouse operators and provide daily leadership.
  • Work closely with cross-functional leaders from Quality, Safety, Customer Service, Production, and Transportation departments.
  • Anticipate and prevent unnecessary costs related to detention or container charges.
  • Meet raw material request schedules to the production facility.
  • Ensure the right products are shipped to internal and external customers with quality and accuracy.
  • Communicate to leadership through data using various shift reports detailing successes and challenges.
