About The Position

The Warehouse Supervisor at Bunzl is responsible for leading and managing the activities of warehouse, delivery, and office personnel at the branch. This role focuses on ensuring a safe working environment, improving productivity, and providing customer service support. The Supervisor will implement effective processes and enhance team efficiency while fostering a professional atmosphere among team members and customers.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred
• 1-3 years of previous warehouse supervisory experience required
• Previous experience managing a unionized workforce is a plus
• Self-starter with the ability to multi-task
• Excellent judgment and decision-making skills
• Bi-lingual (Spanish) skills a plus
• Effective verbal and written communication skills (bi-lingual skills in English and Spanish a plus)
• Strong PC skills in Word and Excel
• Capacity to effectively plan workload and staff assignments

Responsibilities

• Assist team members in the timely and accurate assembly of customer orders, in preparation for shipment
• Provide a professional environment with relation to fellow team members, other department members and external customers
• Direct the necessary daily activities to ensure a safe working environment for all employees
• Organize and focus on improved productivity levels in a manner that stresses effectiveness by improving processes as well as the efficiencies of all team members
• Ensure company policies are communicated, applied and enforced (i.e. operational, safety, administrative, etc.)
• Provide general customer service and administrative office support as needed
• Maximize quality and productivity by understanding the expectations of the company and evaluating performance variances in order to identify root cause and corrective action.
