About The Position

The position involves planning the layout of the warehouse and other storage areas, taking into account factors such as turnover, size, weight, and related aspects of the items stored. The role includes advising employees on the care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped, as well as methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping stock. The individual will determine work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedite workflow. Responsibilities also include assigning duties, examining work for accuracy and compliance with policies, maintaining harmony among workers, resolving issues, and enforcing safety regulations. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Three to four years relevant, job-related experience, education, or combination thereof.
• Two to three years supervisory experience preferred.
• Professional certification may be required in some areas.
• Forklift Certified.

Responsibilities

• Advises and enforces safety regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
