About The Position

The Warehouse Supervisor for the 2nd shift at Triple S Steel Supply is responsible for overseeing all activities related to steel processing within the warehouse. This role focuses on establishing metrics, scheduling, and ensuring compliance with safety initiatives and OSHA guidelines. The supervisor will lead a team to meet production and quality goals while maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or GED.
• 2-4 years of prior warehouse supervisory experience, preferably in metals, fabrication, or manufacturing.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Strong decision-making skills and leadership qualities.
• Ability to effectively interact with employees, customers, and vendors.
• Capability to multi-task and adapt to changing circumstances.
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and supervise all activities pertaining to steel processing.
• Ensure employees have the necessary resources to meet production and quality goals.
• Establish and execute safe material handling procedures.
• Organize work schedules and shift responsibilities.
• Train new employees in safety protocols and job responsibilities.
• Control absenteeism and maintain discipline according to company policies.
• Communicate with other departments to resolve and prevent issues.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse.
• Coordinate processing schedules and communicate with various departments.
• Inspect materials to be processed and shipped.
• Schedule maintenance for processing equipment.
• Respond to communications in a timely manner.
• Coordinate stock checks and investigate inventory errors.
• Implement efficient material flow and equipment usage.
• Perform employee evaluations.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.
