About The Position

This is a 2nd shift Warehouse Supervisor role in Jessup, MD, working Monday - Friday. Supervise the operations and responsibilities of the warehouse team and designated facility. Work with Operations leadership to make certain company and customer standards of service, quality, safety, and productivity are met.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse environment.
  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
  • Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in varying temperature environments (as low as -20°F/-25°C in cold storage, up to 100°F/37°C in dry storage), wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) and freezer gear.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs./18 kgs. or more, depending on the facility.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, and provide performance feedback to direct reports to ensure optimal productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • Assign daily duties to the team and monitor performance.
  • Oversee operational procedures, including incoming and outgoing shipments, merchandise organization, and warehouse inventory management to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Develop and manage production schedules, allocating resources to complete job assignments efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate time and production records.
  • Monitor and track warehouse activities, including sales, record control, and purchasing, ensuring product availability.
  • Provide timely reports to designated plant personnel.
  • Investigate accidents in line with company policies and safety procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards across all operations.
  • Work with machinery and material handling equipment as needed to support warehouse operations.
  • Address and resolve employee issues, maintaining open communication with all organizational levels.
  • Participate in assigned projects and contribute to achieving company goals.
