About The Position

The Warehouse Supervisor for the 2nd Shift at Abbott's Altavista Distribution Center is responsible for overseeing the warehouse operations, ensuring the effective implementation of quality systems, and managing the distribution of finished products. This role involves supporting manufacturing centers, monitoring distribution operations, and maintaining compliance with regulatory guidelines while fostering a safe and collaborative work environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Materials Management, Business Management, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of Distribution.
• 2 years of experience in Inventory Management, Warehouse Management, or Purchasing Planning.

Nice To Haves

• APICS certification desired.
• Prior Supervisory experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the effectiveness of the quality system and warehouse management system.
• Deploy over $150,000,000 of Abbott finished products to customers and other distribution centers.
• Provide support to all manufacturing centers in the Altavista plant.
• Monitor and regulate operations of onsite and offsite distribution centers.
• Ensure timely and accurate receipt of inbound finished product loads.
• Develop and implement department procedures to comply with Abbott, FDA, OSHA, and other guidelines.
• Utilize resources of non-exempt employees effectively.
• Encourage open exchange of ideas and knowledge focusing on continuous improvement.
• Utilize all capital resources effectively.
• Provide customer service through accurate order processing and timely delivery of products.
• Speed allocations and deployment decisions using technology support systems.
• Create and maintain a safe work environment.
