Visit us online at: https://www.aikenregional.com Position Description: Work in a team environment responsible for the receiving and accounting for all supplies and equipment shipped to the hospital. Performs inventory control tasks such as cycle counts, stock level verification and receipt discrepancy validation. Assists with UPS, FedEx and other shipping requirements. Functions as courier to deliver supplies and equipment to satellite ARMC offices; performs other functions as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED. Knowledge of computer operations and ability to accurately enter information. Must have good clerical, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Must have current driver’s license and vehicle insurance.

Nice To Haves

  • Receiving experience/healthcare materials management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the receiving and distribution function of all supplies and equipment shipped to the hospital. Necessary paperwork is processed to insure all quantities are correct and that all shortage and changes are noted. All packages signed for are checked for damage. Items (unit and amount) are verified correctly on packing slip. Receivers are signed and dated in appropriate column. Receiving information is accurately entered in the MMIS. All delivered goods signed for by requester department upon receipt. Receiving exception reports rectified within 24 hours.
  • Responsible for sending items out of hospital for return or repair. Makes sure proper paperwork is completed with proper return authorization, if needed. Contacts proper carrier for low cost shipping options. (UPS, motor freight, or pick-up.)
  • Maintains orderly placement of supplies and existing inventories. Place in designated location on a first in, first out basis. Assists in charge labeling and other storeroom duties as assigned.
