About The Position

The Warehouse Stocker receives merchandise staged by the receiving dock into warehouse inventory, organizes the inventory, and optimizes storage space. Stockers monitor shelf management, affix labels, and ensure accuracy of product information. They work closely with the receiving team to coordinate stock replenishment. Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned. Adhere to and follow safety procedures i.e., safe lifting. Organize and arrange products on shelves. Monitor shelf management and report known issues to a supervisor. Rotate stock where necessary. Affix labels to merchandise. Ensure inventory accuracy and report issues to a supervisor. Replenish shelves promptly to maintain accurate counts. Inspect products for damage or defects. Communicate any discrepancies in received items. Other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Basic computer knowledge including web browsing and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
