About The Position

Responsible for warehouse activities to ensure the efficient and economical utilization of facilities for storing and distributing materials and finished goods. Reviews and analyzes inventory reports and surplus stock lists to improve inventory control. Collects and interprets information on present and future distribution needs for planning purposes. Ensures conformity with shipping commitments, evaluates shipping deadlines and takes corrective action to eliminate behind-schedule conditions. Coordinates special distribution efforts to achieve new product introduction. Supervises the receiving and storing of merchandise and finished goods supplies. Oversees the inspection of incoming material for conformity with order and specifications and for defects. Arranges for return of defective material. Arranges for inventory reviews and reconciles book inventories with physical counts. Evaluates distribution and transportation operations, data and facilities in order to support the identification of the most effective distribution and transportation patterns for products. Receives and inspects goods and verifies items against the shipment record. Gathers, verifies and packs items for shipment according to specifications and the applicable transportation method. Records received and shipped items. Prepares, processes and distributes daily shipment documentation for all facets of inbound and outbound services. Manages and plans import process, customs documentation, shipping, and receiving of foreign merchandise. Monitors the preparation and dispatch of customer export orders. Associates who are solely responsible for either forklift operation or picking/packing, but not both, should be mapped to the Forklift Operation or Order Filling and Fulfilment sub-families respectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Four years of warehouse or logistics experience preferred with exposure to Lean Six Sigma
  • Your experience with supervising front-line and salaried staff in a performance-driven, challenging environment
  • Microsoft Suite including Excel comprehension preferred
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to get results through mentoring others, effective coaching, leading a team-based approach to decision-making
  • This position is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United States
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Safe driving record strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. (Noon shift)
  • Direct Reports: 3 DSD Focused with contingency coverage for Transport Lighthouse execution guarantee KPIs and be part of the execution
  • Guarantee the delivery lighthouse practices in place in WH and Perfect truck
  • Meetings mandatory: Daily S&D, Weekly WH Staff Meeting, Weekly Site Staff Meeting, Weekly Employee updates, Weekly HC update, Weekly IHC
  • Be the leader for the Productivity Initiatives/Projects inside DSD, execute actions and monitor results (TE, DPS, KU, etc.) in the SharePoint COE
  • Pre shift minimum attendance 3x week (DSD, leading when needed, being there to coach the team and open space for the frontline feedback)
  • BBS observations 2x week minimum
  • Coaching sessions with direct reports and skip level -minimum 3X per week
  • PE Leader for Walking and Working Surfaces
  • OOS management
  • Audit and IHC focal point
  • CO2 and OOS send the daily comms
  • Innovation (item turned on, slotting, demand aligned, etc.)
  • Slotting/Sequencing Audit
  • DPS Map Maintenance
  • Focal Point for Chilled - changes, practices, structure, Maintenance, Training, Sign off, etc.
  • Focal Point for Sales and Delivery communication - ASN, Mis-picks, Loading Errors, Perfect Truck loadout
  • Hiring, Training process lead guarantee goals and strategy
  • Power fleet lead process, guarantee adherence and execution within the team
