About The Position

Technica LLC is seeking a Warehouse Specialist for a 3rd shift position on a Government contract in New Cumberland, PA. This role involves performing a variety of warehousing duties that require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan. Key tasks include verifying materials against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and damages, and routing materials to designated storage locations. The specialist will be responsible for storing, stacking, or palletizing materials according to prescribed methods, as well as rearranging and taking inventory. They will also examine stored materials for deterioration and damage, and prepare materials for shipment. The position may require operating hand or power trucks.

Requirements

  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance and a Common Access Card (CAC)
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must be able to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift up 30 lbs unassisted
  • Must be comfortable learning to operate a forklift
  • Must be comfortable learning to operate a stock selector (raises 20-30 ft high to get inventory from shelving- with safety weight limit of under 300 lbs including harness)
  • Must be able to work in environment exposed to the elements, both hot and cold
  • Have the ability to learn and operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) of various types to Include stand-up and sit-down forklifts
  • At least one-year experience with Supply Management operation systems
  • Prior knowledge and experience with Standard Operating Procedures and Safety Procedures
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks related to the position

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with DSS and other Government Data Systems
  • Experience operating Material Handling Equipment (MHE) of various types Including stand-up and sit-down forklifts
  • Experience with resolving common error conditions
  • Experience responding to computer output instructions or error conditions

  • Removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment
  • May operate hand or power trucks while performing warehousing duties
