SUMMARY A Warehouse Specialist plays a critical role in managing inventory, shipping and receiving operations, and ensuring the accuracy, organization, and availability of parts and materials. This role ensures that BFS’ inventory is properly received, stored, tracked, and distributed to support operational needs. The position interfaces with multiple departments to maintain efficient warehouse operations and supports compliance with company policies, safety standards, and aviation-related requirements. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO): · Accurately stocking and organizing inventory within designated warehouse locations · Picking, packing, and preparing materials for internal distribution or external shipment · Maintaining accurate inventory records within company systems · Conducting cycle counts and assisting with full inventory audits · Ensuring proper labeling, identification, and traceability of parts and materials · Coordinating with purchasing, maintenance, and operations teams to ensure timely availability of required items · Maintaining cleanliness and organization of warehouse facilities · Ensuring compliance with company safety procedures and warehouse best practices · Operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (as trained) · Supporting inventory process improvements · Supporting documentation and tracking requirements for regulated aviation materials Requirements SKILLS AND ABILITIES (MINIMUM) · Basic to Intermediate Microsoft Office Skills · Strong Communication: Ability to effectively communicate with team members and other departments · Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in inventory handling and recordkeeping · Adaptability: Ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment · Problem-Solving: Identifying and resolving discrepancies in shipments or inventory · Collaboration: Working effectively across departments · Time Management: Prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines · Organizational Skills: Maintaining structured and efficient warehouse systems EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE · High school diploma or equivalent required · A minimum of one to two years of warehouse, logistics, or inventory experience preferred · (PREFERRED) Experience in aviation, manufacturing, or regulated environments · (PREFERRED) Familiarity with inventory management systems or ERP software CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS · Valid driver’s license required · US citizenship required WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
