About The Position

Warehouse Specialist (EAGLE 2026-24484 ): Bowhead seeks a Warehouse Specialist to support the APG Eagle contract in Aberdeen, MD. The Warehouse Specialist independently performs receipt/issue, turn-in, storage, stock selection, and shipping functions for the Supply Support Activity. The specialist performs supply transactions for receipt, storage, management, issue, and turn-in of Class I, II, IIIP, IV, VII and IX supplies. This contract is governed by a CBA and as such, any employee accepting employment on this contract will be required to join the CBA within 30 days of beginning employment.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required in addition to at least two (2+) years of warehouse inventory, record filing and packaging duties.
  • Must possess a valid state Driver’s License and be able to obtain/maintain a forklift license.
  • Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
  • Lift/carry/push/slide up to 50 pounds routinely, up to 75 pounds occasionally.
  • Stand for long periods of time.
  • Bend, squat, stoop, crouch, balance, and lean.
  • Possess good motor skills and coordination.
  • Both manual and mechanized application of shrink wrap.
  • Re-palletize equipment.
  • Handle odd-sized equipment.
  • Sit for periods of time operating the computer keyboard.
  • Repeat the same movements.
  • Subjected to both inside and outside environmental conditions.
  • Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Public Trust level.
  • Due to the location of this work, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule appointments and provide basic customer assistance regarding receipt, issue, and turn-in requirements.
  • Properly position conveyances at loading locations, open seals and doors, tally inbound stock, and palletize items in temporary warehousing areas.
  • Safeguard equipment and supplies.
  • Participate in periodic, routine, and annual inventories.
  • Coordinate the off-site transport of turned-in supplies and equipment.
  • Operate vehicles, hand and forklift trucks in the normal course of operations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
