About The Position

We are seeking a dependable and highly detail-oriented Warehouse Specialist to join our team in Harahan, Louisiana. This role is primarily focused on warehouse operations, including inventory management, order processing, and maintaining an organized and efficient workspace. A secondary component of the role involves delivering parts and picking up materials from vendors. This position is well suited for someone who thrives in a structured, task-focused environment where accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail are essential. The ideal candidate takes pride in methodical work, organized systems, and completing tasks with precision while maintaining the focus and stamina needed to manage a busy workflow with frequent interactions and interruptions. Requirements

  • Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office, email, and business systems
  • Experience operating material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to interpret shipping documentation, inventory records, and part numbering systems
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to remain focused and productive in a busy environment with frequent activity and interruptions
  • Ability to follow established procedures and maintain consistent, systematic work processes
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience (engine or similar industry experience preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to safely operate company vans or flatbed trucks
  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs frequently
  • Ability to stand, bend, reach, and operate warehouse equipment for extended periods
  • Comfortable driving in various weather and traffic conditions
  • Ability to maintain the mental stamina and focus required for a busy warehouse environment

Responsibilities

  • Process and prepare outgoing shipments, including packaging and shipping documentation
  • Pull parts for service and outgoing orders with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming stock orders for damages and correct quantities
  • Organize, label, and shelve stock items to maintain orderly inventory flow and storage systems
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with inventory management activities
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment
  • Break down boxes and prepare materials for recycling
  • Rotate stock and reorganize shelving as inventory changes occur
  • Assist with processing returns and coordinating with vendors when necessary
  • Deliver parts or orders to customers and pick up will-call orders from vendors
  • Operate company vehicles safely and responsibly while following all traffic laws and company policies
  • Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance concerns
  • Assist with loading and unloading materials during deliveries
