About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Warehouse Specialist to manage inventory and logistics for our specialized data center construction equipment and materials. In this role, you will oversee the receipt, storage, tracking, and distribution of critical components for raised access flooring, structural ceiling grid systems, hot/cold aisle containment, and conveyance systems. You will be essential in maintaining operational efficiency and ensuring timely delivery of materials to multiple construction sites and other warehouses. Inventory Management Maintain accurate inventory records of all specialized construction materials and equipment, including raised flooring panels, pedestals, stringers, ceiling grid components, containment panels, and conveyance systems Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies Monitor stock levels and initiate reordering processes when inventory reaches predetermined thresholds Organize warehouse layout to optimize space utilization and material accessibility Receiving & Quality Control Receive and inspect all incoming materials for damage and accuracy against purchase orders Document and report any quality issues or discrepancies Process and label materials according to company standards Update inventory management systems with received materials Verify materials against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages Order Fulfillment & Distribution Pick, pack, and prepare materials for job site delivery according to project schedules Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and foremen to ensure timely material staging and delivery Create accurate packing lists and shipping documentation Load and secure materials for transport using appropriate handling equipment Select and stage merchandise for transport while efficiently fulfilling orders via foot or forklift Documentation & Reporting Maintain detailed records of all warehouse activities Generate regular inventory of materials and equipment reports for management review Document material and equipment movements between warehouse and job sites/other warehouses Track and report on key performance indicators Rearrange and take inventory of stored materials and equipment Examine stored materials and equipment and report deterioration and damage Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse environment Properly handle, store, and secure specialty construction materials Participate in safety training and meetings Perform daily inspection on all equipment used Keep safety areas clear and maintain good housekeeping

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred
  • 2+ years of warehouse experience, preferably in construction or related industry
  • Proficiency with inventory management software and warehouse management systems
  • Experience operating material handling equipment
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office applications
  • Must have a clean MVR and valid state driver's license to operate company vehicles
  • Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 75 lbs
  • Must be able to successfully complete a drug/alcohol test and criminal record check
  • Ability to perform duties under adverse weather conditions (extreme cold/heat, etc.)
  • Knowledge of proper material handling techniques for fragile and high-value construction components
  • Understanding of inventory control principles and practices
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and bill of materials
  • Experience with barcode scanning systems
  • Experience operating necessary equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
  • Data entry skills and experience using current computer software applications
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized professional with strong time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communicator who thrives under pressure, delivers excellent customer service, and works well both independently and within a team.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years of experience working in a similar warehouse environment
  • Experience with handling products in various types of packages
  • Awareness of OSHA safety and the measures to take in the event of injury
  • Valid forklift certification
  • Proficiency with basic Math
  • Proficiency with ProCore and other Warehouse Management Systems
  • Experience with industrial equipment maintenance (scissor lifts, forklifts, band saws, etc.)
  • Bilingual: English and Spanish
  • Ability to work in a construction or fabrication environment, including standing for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in areas that may require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs when necessary.
