Requirements

  • High school graduate or GED equivalent.
  • At least two (2) years of work experience in a warehouse environment encompassing traditional warehousing and material movement methodologies, i.e. receiving, storage, issue, shipping, material handling and distribution.
  • Demonstrate working experience in Microsoft Excel or computer warehouse management system.
  • Ability to obtain forklift operator certification.
  • Demonstrate experience using material handling equipment.
  • Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain the required intelligence community level clearance.
  • Mature judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds independently and 75 pounds in a team lift.

Responsibilities

  • Verifies materials or merchandise against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages.
  • Routes materials to prescribed storage locations.
  • Stores, stacks, or palletizes materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods, rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials.
  • Examines stored materials and reports deterioration and damage.
  • Removes material from storage and prepares it for shipment.
  • May operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.
  • Performs other related work as assigned.
