About The Position

Akima Facilities Operations (AFO) is currently seeking a Warehouse Specialist (ASP) to Support the EAGLE LSS Contract in Fort Hood, TX. To join our team of outstanding professionals, apply today! As directed, the Warehouse Specialist conducts a variety of warehousing duties that require an understanding of U.S. Army's supply procedures and policies. Work involves providing a second independent check of National Stock Number, Lot Number, Department of Defense Identification Code (DODIC), Condition Code, count and storage location of ammunition and explosives during issue, turn in, inventory and preparation for shipping, assisting in the determination or determining proper markings and application of markings of lite cans of ammunition and explosives, proper placarding and compatibility of ammunition and explosives, assisting in the inspection or inspecting ammunition and explosives containers, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages, routing materials to prescribed storage locations; storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods, verification of accuracy of Magazine Data Card. Ensure that safety and physical security rules and regulations are followed appropriately. Act as Warehouse Specialist Lead during absences. This worker may operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties. Requirements

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience in warehousing.
  • Knowledge of ammunition logistical functions.
  • Ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening.
  • Ability to receive a favorable TIER-1 investigation result and obtain/maintain a CAC.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience in ammunition operations.
  • Ammo-45 Introduction to Ammunition.
  • Ammo-112 Explosives Storage Safety.
  • Military Occupational Specialties 55B/89B.
  • Current Driver's License.
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Commercial Driver's License.

Responsibilities
