About The Position

Temp Staff Management Group is seeking a Warehouse Sorter for our client in Secaucus, NJ. Please read the ENTIRE job description and ALL of the job requirements BEFORE applying for this position. Schedule : 1st Shift: 9AM - 5PM Monday - Friday Plus overtime Pay Rate : $18 / hour Job Summary : We are hiring a full-time, temporary Sort Associate to join our team at the Renew Warehouse Center in Secaucus, NJ. The Sort Associate will be a key contributor to our circularity mission, primarily responsible for sorting and processing pre-owned garments and providing essential support for recycling center inventory operations.

Requirements

  • MUST be bilingual - English AND Spanish
  • Education: Retail Equivalent Experience or some College Preferred
  • Retail experience is required; knowledge of clothing is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word).
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to perform physical tasks as needed, including bending, reaching, twisting, and overhead tasks.
  • Knowledge of fulfillment operations and merchandise flow or other relevant experience
  • MS Excel and experience using Warehouse Management System (WMS), MI9, Epiphany (CS system) & CMS (Retail Store system)
  • Excellent organization and written & verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work in a highly collaborative work environment.
  • Demonstrates analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be both detail-oriented and able to see bigger picture.
  • Effective organizational skills and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment critical.

Responsibilities

  • Processing & Quality Assurance
  • Execute the primary sorting process by conducting Quality Assurance (QA) checks and categorizing all incoming EILEEN FISHER garment donations.
  • Accurately sort garments based on specific classifications, fabric content, and condition to determine their next phase (e.g., Renew, recycling, donation).
  • Maintain data integrity by using the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to enter data and validate information related to processed inventory.
  • Perform Quality Assurance checks specifically for shoes and accessories.
  • Inventory Organization & Efficiency
  • Ensure the organization and maintenance of all sorted inventory categories.
  • Actively work to maximize storage efficiency and space utilization within the sorting and recycling centers.
  • Conduct physical inventory counts of both incoming donation and damaged merchandise.
  • Team Collaboration & Logistics
  • Partner with team members to effectively manage the flow of all incoming and outgoing product.
  • Pick and stage product in preparation for external processes, such as cleaning services.
  • Support sustainability efforts by breaking down cardboard boxes and managing materials for recycling.
