About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and capable Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our team at our Vadnais Heights Plant. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of warehouse procedures, excellent organizational skills, and experience working with warehouse computer systems; typing, data entry, submitting forms, warehouse inventory software, setting up FedEx/UPS on the computer, printing labels, etc. Additionally, they will have prior experience using a variety of hand and power industrial trucks (pallet jack, Power pallet jack, and reach truck) to transport items throughout the plant and warehouse, move finished products into and out of inventory, pull orders both parcels and LTL and unload trucks. Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items that need to be moved, gathered, or distributed. Operate a pallet jack throughout the shift to transport stored items from the warehouse. Pull customer orders using handheld scanners (ex. RFID bar code scanner) and warehouse inventory software. Pick up cartons of envelopes by hand to scan then stack them up on the pallet to build each shipment. Lift, stack, wrap, and secure envelopes for shipment. Load and unload delivery trucks staging orders for future outbound shipments. Maintain accurate inventory records on the computer by receiving and counting stock items and moving items in and out of inventory. Communicate with co-workers and others to carry out job duties.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a Warehouse, Shipping, and Receiving role in a MANUFACTURING environment.
  • Prior power industrial truck experience in a production environment.
  • Proficient in using shipping software and inventory systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Capable of maintaining accurate records of inventory levels and locations within the warehouse.
  • Effectively read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Competent with addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, as well as dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to walk and stand frequently during an eight-hour shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Stamina & Mobility: Ability to stand and walk on concrete surfaces for the duration of a scheduled shift (8–12 hours). Must be able to frequently bend, reach, crouch, or stoop.
  • Weight Requirements: Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally from floor to waist and waist to shoulder.
  • Manual Dexterity: Constant repetitive grasping and fine motor manipulation of paper materials, boxes, and other components.
  • Range of Motion: Frequent twisting of the torso and lifting above shoulder height.
  • Sensory/Vision: Must possess tactile/touch sensitivity in hands and digits. Near and far visual acuity, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus are required for quality control and safe machine operation.
  • Work Environment: Ability to perform these functions in a manufacturing environment that may include high noise levels, varying temperatures, and paper dust.
