Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, management science, business administration, or related discipline or 4 additional years' experience may be exchanged in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
  • 9+ years of experience 5+ years of position-specific relevant experience in warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
  • Experience with databases, spreadsheets, and computers.
  • Proven experience with Diplomatic Pouch processes for shipping and receiving materials to/from OCONUS embassies.
  • Demonstrated experience in operating forklifts, with a valid and current forklift certification, or the ability to obtain certification upon hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with DoD warehouse systems and equipment as a contractor, civilian, or military personnel.
  • Experience training other personnel on forklift operations and safety.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification.
  • Experience at a DoD Combatant Command (e.g., SOUTHCOM, NORTHCOM, CENTCOM, CYBERCOM, INDOPACOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, STRATCOM, TRANSCOM, SOCOM, SPACECOM) or a component is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the efficient and accurate processing of incoming and outgoing shipments, including the receipt, thorough inspection, secure storage, and timely dispatch of equipment and parts for computer systems and IT facilities.
  • Possesses a deep understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management principles, and relevant safety regulations.
  • Highly proficient in the safe and efficient use of warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, strictly adhering to all safety protocols and certification standards.
  • Collaborates effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, transportation providers, and other departments, to ensure seamless and timely movement of goods.
  • Maintains accurate records of all warehouse activities (shipping manifests, receiving reports, inventory transactions) using databases and spreadsheets to track and manage inventory levels with precision.
  • Actively participates in detailed inventory counts and audits, identifies and resolves discrepancies, proactively contributes to continuous improvement, and provides guidance and mentorship to subordinate staff.
