About The Position

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk at Western States Envelope Company is responsible for managing the flow of materials and products within the warehouse. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing warehouse environment and possess strong organizational and communication skills.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a Warehouse, Shipping, and Receiving role in a manufacturing environment.
• Prior power industrial truck experience in a production environment.
• Proficient in using shipping software and inventory systems.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Capable of maintaining accurate records of inventory levels and locations within the warehouse.
• Effectively read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Competent with addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, as well as dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to walk and stand frequently during an eight-hour shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items that need to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Operate a pallet jack throughout the shift to transport stored items from the warehouse.
• Pull customer orders using handheld scanners and warehouse inventory software.
• Pick up cartons of envelopes by hand to scan and stack them on the pallet for shipment.
• Lift, stack, wrap, and secure envelopes for shipment.
• Load and unload delivery trucks staging orders for future outbound shipments.
• Maintain accurate inventory records on the computer by receiving and counting stock items and moving items in and out of inventory.
• Communicate with co-workers and others to carry out job duties.
