About The Position

The Warehouse Shipping Coordinator will be responsible for managing the flow of goods in and out of the warehouse ensuring accurate inventory levels and maintaining efficient shipping and receiving processes. This person will be responsible for receiving and entering all incoming product in our Warehouse Management System. The Warehouse Shipping Coordinator will be responsible for loading and unloading shipments, preparing products for transport, and ensuring the dock area is organized and safe. This role is essential for maintaining the flow of goods within the warehouse and ensuring timely delivery and receipt of inventory.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of warehouse or manufacturing environment experience required
• Forklift / fork truck certification required
• Minimum 6 months fork truck/forklift experience required
• At least one (1) year of experience in an administration / clerical / office role required
• Strong computer usage skills required
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
• Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking skills required
• Strong critical thinking, decision making and problem solving skills
• Proven time management skills

Responsibilities

• Ensure all orders are entered into Warehouse Management System (WMS) prior to receipt on shipping dock
• Problem solve and resolve issues with orders in WMS
• Audit Ships and Receipts data in WMS against Ship & Receipt logs at the end of each shift
• Communicate with the Lafayette Logistics Group current inventory via WMS
• Receive inventory into WMS
• Enter weight and dimension information into WMS
• Work order priority based on RTS date
• Put together Bills of Laden (BOL)
• Properly sign out a BOL
• Maintain shipping logs, data and original signed BOL for each order
• Coordinate and support the movement of materials and products throughout the warehouse to ensure productivity and efficiency.
• Inspect product loads for accuracy to ensure timely and complete delivery.
• Additional duties or tasks assigned by Warehouse Manager or Warehouse Supervisor
