Responsibilities

  • Maintain inventory control, ensuring physical movement of shipments aligns with electronic movement using computer and scanner technology.
  • Prepare routine reports and file shipping/receiving records.
  • Pick orders from the computer and pull both item and component orders, scanning all orders and accurately preparing for delivery.
  • Unpack, examine, and route incoming shipments, flag damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with responsible individuals to rectify damages and shortages.
  • Assist in planning logistics to ensure sufficient storage space for incoming items.
  • Operate handling equipment such as stretch wrap banding machine, pallet jack, hand truck, and forklift.
  • Maintain the company warehouse by organizing, cleaning, and bin locating inventory regularly.
  • Oversee and prepare USPS, UPS, common carrier, and all other third-party shipments, packing items to ensure safe delivery and adherence to environmental and hazardous material handling requirements.
  • Provide shipping quotes to sales personnel as requested utilizing cost-effective logistic services.
  • Track, trace, and update the status of incoming and outgoing shipments when necessary.
  • Assist with receiving and processing RMAs as needed.
  • Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
  • Assist with weekly inventory cycle counting.
  • Provide back-up customer service support to the retail area by assisting walk-in and phone customers with welding questions and products, and handling a variety of sales & customer service support tasks, order entry, inventory receiving & merchandising.
