In 2022, Roadtex was acquired by Echo Global Logistics. The acquisition brings a truckload brokerage and expanded transportation management solutions to Roadtex's customers while providing Echo with our national warehouse footprint and advanced temperature-controlled transportation solutions. Supervisory Responsibilities: Assists Warehouse Manager with hiring and training of new employees. Schedules and oversees warehouse staff. Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive. Duties/Responsibilities: Lead and develop company employees. Provide training and monitor the employees’ performance. Be accessible to all areas of the dock and yard. Coach/counsel employees on performance and development and document performance-related material. Plan daily manpower needs to ensure customers’ freight is delivered and picked up timely and damage-free. Communicate with Linehaul/dispatch at various terminals and with dock employees to coordinate the movement of trailers and freight. Develop a plan for distributing break loads to achieve goals. Monitor service freight and ensure Linehaul compliance. Monitor and analyze all opportunities to cut costs and improve efficiencies. Assist customers with rate quotes, claim information, and setting appointments. Perform administrative functions, as required. Monitor actual performance data and gather information for reporting. Communicate with Account Managers to ensure customers’ and company’s needs are met. Ensure all OS&D is identified and processed properly. Conduct pre-shift meetings. Implement company policy. Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures. Perform other duties as required. Safety Procedures: Ensure all employees are trained on and adhere to safety protocols. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards. Provide personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure it is used correctly. Maintain clear and accessible emergency exits and equipment. Implement and enforce proper lifting techniques and ergonomics. Report and document any accidents or incidents immediately. Conduct regular safety meetings and drills to keep safety top of mind. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards. Promote a culture of safety where employees feel empowered to speak up about safety concerns.
