American Metals Supply, LLC is seeking a dynamic Warehouse Shift Manager to lead our 3rd -shift operations in Tampa, FL . This is a critical leadership role responsible for orchestrating daily operations, developing a high-performing team, and ensuring the highest standards of safety and inventory accuracy. Requirements

  • Experience: At least 3 (preferably 5+) years of direct management or supervisory experience, independently leading a shift in a warehouse/distribution setting with knowledge of inventory control principles, warehouse safety protocols, and regulatory requirements. Prior experience supervising/managing a 3rd shift is required.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in WMS and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Leadership Style: Strong communication skills with a proven ability to motivate teams and resolve conflicts professionally.
  • Problem-Solving: A focus on continuous improvement and the ability to prioritize tasks in a high-energy environment.
  • Credentials: High school diploma required

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift and other relevant certifications are highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor warehouse staff. You will be responsible for task delegation, performance evaluations, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee the full lifecycle of goods—receiving, storage, and shipping—while ensuring strict compliance with company procedures and safety regulations.
  • Process Optimization: Leverage Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to streamline workflows (picking, packing, and shipping) to minimize errors and reduce cycle times.
  • Inventory & Quality Control: Maintain rigorous inventory accuracy through regular audits. Conduct quality inspections to prevent product damage and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Safety First: Drive a "safety-first" culture by conducting regular inspections, enforcing OSHA compliance, and providing equipment operation training to prevent accidents.
  • Data-Driven Reporting: Track and analyze KPIs (productivity, accuracy, turnover) to identify trends and implement data-driven operational improvements.
