About The Position

The Warehouse Security Agent is responsible for ensuring a safe and secure environment at the facility during the third shift. This role involves monitoring operations, managing gate security, and maintaining safety standards while providing support for logistics and operational processes.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe and secure work environment
• Operate using Proxyclick and security applications to validate driver check-in details and paperwork
• Maintain and review truck inventory and conduct seal checks for loaded trucks
• Validate temperature settings for reefer equipment against paperwork
• Maintain warehouse procedures, guard shack procedures, and safety standards
• Maintain a clean and professional facility
• Manage gate security in and out of the facility
• Communicate with operations and 3rd party labor to efficiently place drivers in correct empty dock doors
• Reinforce safety protocols such as chock usage and no idling
• Provide input on equipment procurement and maintenance
• Maintain a visual presence to deter suspicious activity
• Write clear reports regarding suspicious activity and flag to management
• Patrol property for security threats and handle stressful situations
• Contact law enforcement for extreme situations
• Detain suspected criminals until law enforcement arrives
• Ensure exit of refused drivers and trespassers
• Perform other related duties as assigned
• Support operational standards and KPI expectations related to safety and security
• Improve safety, quality, delivery, and security through continuous improvement methods
• Manage truck inventory exceptions or issues
• Support supply chain security incidents and investigations
• Conduct safety and security walkthroughs and checklist reviews
• Support bi-annual process audits for security and safety
