Warehouse Saw Operator (Full Time) - Chicago, IL
About The Position
Leader in the plastic industry is looking to fill the position of Warehouse Machine/Saw Operator in Chicago, IL. HOURS: Monday - Friday, 7am to 4pm (overtime only as needed) COMPENSATION: $18.00-$20.00/hour (depending on experience) JOB DESCRIPTION: Resolve maintenance issues with saw Ensure all safety practices are being conducted daily during use of saw Make sure each saw has corrected blades in stock and maintain blades Maintain good morale, working environment and work ethic Be a positive team player and have a positive attitude Find new ways to improve the cutting process and make order cutting run more efficiently and with no mistakes Problem solves when there is an issue with a cut order Provide exceptional customer service to our customers; always keep the customers happy Help package orders at the end of the day Help keep the warehouse clean Learn & use barcoding system Help will call customers Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- MUST be at least 20 years old
- Dependable with excellent attendance (attendance is important around here)
- Doesn't allow "bright and shiny" to distract them
- Sets a goal then takes action to conquer it
- Willing to lift boxes, clean floors, and hold doors if that's what it takes to get something done
- Desires to be part of a team
- Is energized by serving others
- Enjoys a fast-paced environment with a high level of accuracy
- MUST be drug-free
- Must be willing and able to get stuff DONE!
- Leadership qualities: Ability to motivate and inspire team members, lead by example, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Personal attributes: Respectful, hard worker, always ready to work, and hungry to grow
- Both drug screen and background check will be conducted.
