About The Position
Join Loffredo Fresh Foods as a full time Day Warehouse Sanitation Clerk based out of our Des Moines, IA Headquarters. We are a local, family-owned food and produce distributor that has proudly served the Midwest region for over 130 years. We distribute to 11 different states across our 6 locations. As a Day Warehouse Sanitation Clerk, you will play a crucial role in our operations by ensuring that our facility is meeting all food industry regulations and company standards. The role includes light maintenance work, seasonal tasks, and ensuring that equipment is in proper working order. Effective communication and collaboration with co-workers and customers, both internal and external, is essential. Other duties may include special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Able to work in a refrigerated environment for 8+ hours
- Must have knowledge and training of sanitation solutions and hazardous materials.
- Must be a self-directed individual with the ability to read and interpret company documents, maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Must have the ability to perform basic math calculations.
- Must be a self-directed individual with the ability to relate to people at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work independently within a team setting
Nice To Haves
- Previous warehouse and pallet jack experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining a level of cleanliness throughout the facility that meets all food industry regulations and company standards.
- Required to perform light maintenance work and incidental seasonal tasks.
- Responsible for ensuring that job specific equipment is in proper working order and communicating with management when repairs are needed.
- Communicate/collaborate effectively and professionally with co-workers and customers, both internal and external.
- Perform other job-related duties or special projects as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
