Ryder is immediately hiring permanent full-time Skilled Construction Laborers to ensure expert craftsmanship at our warehouse manufacturing facility fot Repair Pre-Cleaner in San Antonio, Texas Manufacturing and Construction positions pay weekly Hourly Pay $15.00 per hour Apply Here with Ryder Today Click here to see and hear it from a Ryder Manufacturing Employee: https://RyderCareers.video/Pallet-Repair We want the right Manufacturing Employee to join us at Ryder and work with State of the Art Equipment in the Safest Warehouse Environment Products Being Handled: Pallets Equipment: Hammer, Prybar and Power Tools such as: Nail Gun, Grinder, Saw ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR PALLET REPAIR OPERATORS Will use a pneumatic nail gun, powered saw, and other powered/hand tools to repair or assemble pallets You will be placing pallets on repair table, removing defective boards, replacing with new boards and securing boards into place. Work requires operator to stand for long periods of time (8-10 hours) and lifting up to 75 pounds throughout entire shift Various construction, building, carpentry, manufacturing, warehouse, Skilled and Semi-Skilled Labor roles at Ryder support distribution across the US. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1 to 2 years or more in fast-paced Warehouse environment preferred
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions of the maintenance trades
- Must be able to lift and move up to 70 lbs
- Able to stand and be on feet for up to 8 hours
- Ability to follow direction and work independently
- Operate power scrubbers and sweepers
- Read and understand labels on chemicals
- Demonstrate ability to solve routine problems
- Ability to walk, climb, stand, stoop, crouch, reach, punch, pull, and do related physical activities in performing janitorial work
- Important Note: Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.
Responsibilities
- Warehouse Maintenance and Sanitation
- Clean warehouse with hand brooms, power scrubbers, sweepers, and vacuum cleaners to meet company standards
- Remove all refuse from office and building daily, ensuring that trash cans are empty and clean
- Clean break rooms and work area
- Relocate and adjust office furniture as necessary
- Ensure the highest degree of sanitation and housekeeping
- Ensure that pest control systems are operating effectively
- Grounds Maintenance
- Mow grass on company property
- Keep company grounds free of litter and debris
- Safety, Sanitation, Security
- Report any safety problems to the shift supervisor
- Comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards
- Performs other duties as assigned
