Role Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Receiving Specialist to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the accurate and timely receipt, verification, and put-away of inbound materials. The ideal candidate will be proactive in supporting the warehouse team, maintaining inventory accuracy, and facilitating effective communication with Purchasing, Assembly, and other departments. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be critical in ensuring that all inbound product is received, documented, and stored correctly so orders can be fulfilled on time.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience in a warehouse, receiving, or logistics role.
  • Experience with inventory control and receiving processes in a manufacturing or distribution environment preferred.
  • Previous experience with technical assembly preferred.
  • High mechanical aptitude.
  • High computer system application literacy, including Microsoft 365 and the ability to learn new business applications quickly (ERP/WMS, RF scanners, etc.).
  • Must be able to work off hours, weekends, and overtime on short notice and on an ongoing basis, based on business needs.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with a focus on inventory accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Sound decision-making ability.
  • Ability to perform physical activities including reaching, climbing, sitting, reaching overhead, standing for long periods of time, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving Operations (Primary Focus) Unload inbound deliveries and verify materials against purchase orders, packing slips, and other receiving documents.
  • Inspect incoming materials for damage, quantity discrepancies, and part number accuracy; escalate issues to Purchasing/Logistics as needed.
  • Accurately record receipts in the ERP/warehouse management system and ensure all documentation is completed as required.
  • Label, organize, and put away materials in the correct locations to maintain inventory accuracy and efficient retrieval.
  • Perform regular cycle counts and assist with inventory reconciliations and root-cause analysis for discrepancies.
  • Work with carriers/drivers to ensure safe and efficient unloading.
  • Manage returns to vendors (RTVs), including documentation, staging, and follow-up with internal stakeholders.
  • Internal Material Flow & Order Support Ensure materials are received, stocked, and made available to support production and customer orders.
  • Stage and replenish materials for Assembly and Production based on shop orders and pick lists.
  • Work with the Production/Operations Manager to resolve material availability issues or discrepancies that impact work orders.
  • Shipping & Outbound Support (As Needed) Provide backup support for outbound shipments, including packing, labeling, and preparing required documentation.
  • Assist with tracking and updating the status of outbound shipments when needed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe shipping/receiving area, adhering to all safety regulations and protocols.
  • Cross-Functional Communication Serve as a key point of contact for receiving-related priorities , including urgent inbound material needs and delivery issues.
  • Collaborate with Assembly, Engineering, Logistics, OMS, Sales, and Purchasing to prioritize critical receipts and resolve issues that impact production or customer orders.
  • Crating (As Required) Ensure crating and blocking for outbound shipments is completed efficiently and appropriately when supporting shipping.
  • Ability to build and stencil crates as required.
